From the age of 13 my interest in ancient healing systems and spirituality made me question what I only knew as medicine. I always felt there was more but my interest was really fuelled many years later whilst attending a wellness workshop in my thirties. My aha moment came when I enrolled and completed formal studies with an Advanced Diploma and a Bachelor degree to practice as a Naturopath, Herbalist and Meditation teacher. The philosophy and holistic approach really aligned with how I felt healing should be. After completing my studies I worked in a very large and busy holistic women’s health clinic in Melbourne and was mentored by some of the most successful naturopaths in Australia.
As luck would have it I was offered a job to set up a clinic at the healthy and fun yoga café on Koh Samui island in Thailand which combined my passion for the sun, beach, nature, yoga and all things holistic. It was here I got to spend time with healers from all over the world with different approaches and methods and the most gifted yoga teachers imaginable. I implemented wellness programs for the high end hotel spas and eventually sold off my business to the amazing Kamalaya wellness retreat which was just in its infancy and now a world class healing resort. I then spent time in Singapore supporting the team at Singapore IVF in pre conception health care before finally moving back home to Australia to create a wellness clinic for women.
